Sewage treatment plants:
At a temperature of 37 degrees, bacteria break down the biological substances in the sludge and a digester gas consisting of methane and carbon dioxide is produced. It is used in combined heat and power plants to generate electricity and heat.

Gas leaks caused by ageing and vibrations on fittings are detected at an early stage. The alarm system can stop the gas supply, close the solenoid valve, switch off the burner, switch on the ventilation and alert the zone at risk.
